If you’re moving or have recently moved to the Columbus, OH, area you may have noticed there are more than a few different neighborhood areas to explore. Here’s a little info on the Arena District!
The Arena District is home to – surprise – Nationwide Arena. This is the NHL Columbus Blue Jackets‘ playing space, but also hosts a number of concerts and shows. Right down the street is Huntington Park, home to the 2010 and 2011 National Championship minor league baseball team the Columbus Clippers.
Not really a sports fan? That’s okay, there is a lot more to the Arena District than just sports. If you’d rather catch a movie the Arena Grand movie theater is the place to go. The Arena Grand boasts a full service bar & bistro, reserved seating, $1 validated parking, and accolades of being voted the best movie theater in Columbus. Feeling a little more adventurous? Check out The Big Bang Dueling Piano bar – you’ll sing, dance, and laugh.
A variety of restaurants span the Arena District. Buca di Beppo is a family-style Italian restaurant with a great variety of food. Choose a dish and share it with your table. Just get there early or make reservations – Buca di Beppo fills up fast! It’s a popular place to kick of Bachelorette parties, birthday celebrations, and other events. There’s also the 343 Front Street Tavern & Sports Bar. It’s the only place in the district you can get the award winning Foot Long Angus Beef Hot Dog. It’s a great place to watch the game or just enjoy some food with friends.
Serious business does go on in the Arena District. The district houses plenty of office space that falls into a beautiful backdrop with plenty of great lunch and meeting spots.
